Rotary Valsad Rangers Hosts Successful Open Chess Tournament for 300+ Students

Rotary Club of Valsad Rangers recently organized a highly engaging Open Chess Tournament aimed at inspiring young students to develop an interest in sports and mental skill-building. The event, held with the collaboration of Arya Sanskar Dham, saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 students across various schools and colleges, competing in four age categories: Under 10, Under 14, Under 18, and Under 25.

In appreciation of each participant’s effort, Arya Sanskar Dham provided school bags as return gifts to all students. The winners in each category were honored with a combination of trophies, medals, certificates, and gifts, with the generous support of Rtn. Sunil Jain, who contributed a total of 100 awards.

The event was graced by distinguished guests Mr. Rameshbhai Shah, Mrs. Rashmiben Shah, and Mrs. Kanta Jain from Arya Sanskar Dham, who inspired the students with their words of encouragement. The tournament winners for each category were Aryan Singh (Under 10), Priyanshi Tiwari (Under 14), Nihal Patel (Under 18), and Vipul Jha (Under 25). They were each awarded a smartwatch, a trophy, a certificate, and a school bag as prizes.

The event was led by Project Chairman Rtn. Ritesh Patel and Co-Chairman Rtn. Kushal Variya, who noted that the tournament drew participants from across regions, extending from Mumbai to Surat. Organized in honor of the late Eklavya Viraf Avari from Valsad, the tournament served as a heartfelt tribute with a commemorative trophy presented in his memory.

Special appreciation was extended to Rtn. Sunil Jain and Rtn. Dr. Dipesh Shah for their invaluable guidance and to the entire organizing committee, including Rtn. Bhavesh Parikh, Rtn. Manoj Dak, Rtn. Bhavin Shah, Rtn. Rajesh Patel, Rtn. Digant Desai, and Rtn. Paras Solanki, for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the event’s success.

Rotary Club President Rtn. Manoj Jain and Secretary Rtn. Bharat Jain expressed their gratitude to all involved for making this event memorable and congratulated the winners and participants for their impressive performances.
